Dark knight reigns - Batman Reviews

In the cover of darkness a man runs around a dark city in a dark vigilante costume. He is aptly called Batman due to his resemblance to the creature with his mask. He is a multi-millionaire playboy by day, Bruce Wayne, Kick butt bat suit wearing vigilante by night. This movie is awesome. Michael Keton played a perfect Batman. His arm gestures, his mechanical head movement were so Batman. The way he delivered his lines and the fighting were very good. Michael K. could not have done any better. Jack Nicklson reigns as the Joker. His big grin, high eyebrows and crazy line delivery could never be matched. He was the Joker. Kim Basinger was the lovely love interest with her big poutey lips. She was the icing on the oh so dark cake. She was the only light in the dark gloom of the movie. Now for the true genius behind the movie is the director Tim Burton. The movie was dark. The city buildings, the snow, clothes, expressions, everything was practically devoid of all color. It is a masterpiece of cinema. Just the way Batman should be; dark and emotionless. Batman is the hero of ages grace the silver screen with perfection, simply amazing. The aw-inspiring parts are when Bruce Wayne?s parents are murdered in front of him. There was a rose that fell. The way that scene plays out is so cool. It had great emotional depth though not actually seeing it occur, the deaths. Ever single scene with Batman and the Joker is fantastic. Especially the last fight when he had the last laugh. Best lines are by the Joker, of course. "Ever dance with the devil in the pail moon light?" And, "Where does he get all those toys?" Batman is a movie I could watch over and over again. It is as if the Comic Book just came to life. It is a wonderful adaptation from the comic book that no one could do better. And I can go as far to say that anyone who claims to be a fan of Batman and did not like the movie must have been the fan of the late lame TV show then the dark comic books that Batman was bred from. This was a Batman movie and is the Batman movie to beat when ever they chose to bring him back. I highly doubt anyone can beat what Tim Burton gave, twice.
